Our Story
Placita Market was founded by three women who share a common passion: building community and creating opportunities for others to thrive.
As entrepreneurs, community leaders, and mothers, Nancy Juarez (Founder), Nancy Guzmán (Co-Founder), and Wendy Sánchez (Co-Founder) witnessed firsthand the challenges many small business owners face when trying to gain visibility, connect with customers, and grow sustainably. They also recognized the incredible talent, resilience, and cultural richness that exists within our communities.
What began as a vision to create welcoming spaces for local entrepreneurs soon evolved into something bigger—a platform where businesses, families, artists, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders could come together to connect, collaborate, and celebrate culture.
At Placita Market, we believe that culture is more than tradition—it is a bridge that connects generations, inspires belonging, and creates opportunities. Every market, workshop, and community gathering is intentionally designed to strengthen relationships, support entrepreneurship, and foster meaningful experiences.
